On Day 1, the officer will learn to detect an attack before it occurs. By observing behaviors and focusing on verbal and non-verbal communication of potential attackers, the officer will predict a violent situation and diffuse the encounter before it occurs. The officer will learn de-escalation and diversion techniques to perhaps prevent an attack.
Day 2 of the course will equip the law enforcement officer with the legal, cognitive, emotional, psychological, social, and relationship tools to survive such an encounter and prepare the officer for the aftermath of the attack.
